“I have watched Emily work on my 18 year old Oldenburg (a retired show jumper) as well as horses owned by others in the barn. Emily worked on my horse when he displayed soreness from an ill fitting saddle. I could tell my horse appreciated Emily’s calm approach and seemed to understand she was helping relieve his soreness. Emily has years of experience in the care of horses and is willing to provide advice to those of us who are new to the horse world. “My PRE gelding Jack was stuck in the forward progress of his training in dressage. Emily partnered with us and would assess his physical status as I tried new training ideas. It was absolutely amazing to get the feedback from Emily of where Jack was sore or not sore as she worked on him. After each session with Emily, she sent me an evaluation report along with exercises to do to help Jack. These reports are so valuable to see where Jack changed in his levels and areas of comfort and soreness over time and with different training exercises. Emily has such empathy for the horse as she works on them, it is so heartwarming to see her interact with each horse and to see their interacting with her.” - Patsy V.
Petsitting
“I have used Emily’s petsitting services for my two semi-feral cats when I travel for about a year now. I am so happy with how Emily communicates to both my cats and to me – she has magically gotten through to my shy boy kitty who would not come out for other sitters, no matter what. She spends quality time with them – lots and lots of pets. She takes daily photos and sends texts listing all the things she did that day (wash cat dishes, feed, refresh water, clean litter….). Now when I get home, PeaPie and Rollee seem “normal” and happy, not starved for attention and affection. Also, I recently had to extend my stay in Europe for several days, during which time PeaPie would be needing his asthma inhaler medical treatment, Emily was able to quickly learn the technique and successfully administer the asthma medicine through an Aerokat chamber inhaler for PeaPie! Hooray! I feel confident that my kitties are in good hands when I travel now thanks to Emily!” - Patty F.
